Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. In touring the home, LPA observed a razor, in a drawer located in the bathroom assigned to the children in care. The drawer did not have a locking mechanism therefore making it accessible. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee removed the razor during the inspection. Licensee agrees to place a locking mechanism on the drawer to assure that hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Licensee agrees to submit a written plan stating the plan to assure compliance with the cited regulation. Plan to be submitted to the Riverside Child Care Regional Office by 5/5/2023. This is a repeat citation and a $250.00 civil penalty will be assessed.

Resolution: Licensee has placed the backyard off limits as of today (6/14/2022). Licensee has agreed to address all items listed as hazards in the backyard and submit pictures of items removed. Licensee agrees to submit the pictures to the Riverside Child Care Regional Office by 6/15/2022.
