ROCES-LOPEZ FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observations, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPAs observed the latches on all four sides of the hot tub cover were not secured to the hot tub which was operating and filled with water at the time of the inspection which poses an immediate safety risk to children in care.

Resolution: LPAs reminded Licensee to ensure the inaccessibility of all bodies of water on the premises. Licensee agreed to secure all four latches to the hot tub and will provide proof to LPAs by close of business on 05/28/2024.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in the following items were accessible to children (Kitchen - knives, bug killer, Dinning Room - Box cutters, scissors, tools) which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Immediately, Licensee removed items during inspection.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that Licensee was caring for 10 children alone, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Immediately, Licensee agrees to stay in ratio and have a qualified assistant to maintain ratios. Licensee agrees to submit a written statement detailing their plan on how ratios will be maintained and submit a copy to CCL by 11/18/22.
