BURDETTE FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on record review, the Licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses a potential safety risk to persons in care. LPA observed that Licensee did not have a Fire/Disaster Drill log on file. Further, Licensee stated that the last drill was ocnducted in January of 2024.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to conduct a fire/disaster drill with all children in care by 08/30/2024. Further, Licensee agrees to submit proof of completion of the fire/disaster drill to LPA via email. Licensee agrees to document the drill conducted and provide proof to LPA. Licensee was provided with 2 copies of different Fire Drill Logs in order to document all drills moving forward.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 2 out of 3 staff members, S1 and S3, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to complete the Mandated Reporter General and Child Care Providers training for both herself and to have S3 complete the trainings as well by the POC due date of 04/28/2023. Licensee agrees to send proof of both completed trainings for both herself and S3 to Community Care Licensing by the POC due date.

Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 3 out of 3 staff members. No staff were present during this visit that maintianed valid CPR/First Aid EMSA approved certificates which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to complete a valid EMSA approved CPR/First Aid training and obtain proof of said training by the POC due date of 04/28/2023. Licensee agrees to always have a staff member present with valid CPR/First Aid training and certification and agrees to submit proof of the valid CPR/First Aid certificate to Community Care Licensing by the POC due date.
