Two emergency medications were on-site with 3 staff having current Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification. All staff have First Aid and CPR training. Bathrooms were equipped with required supplies. No new staff since the previous visit. Children arrive to the community center at staggered times based on transportation after school. A snack of hamburger carrots and oranges was served. Reviewed 2 volunteer records and 6 children's records, emergency preparation, medication procedures (no medication was reported to be on-site), trainings and nutrition. Observed children transitioning into the program, hand washing, eating as well as reading/homework help. Volunteers should complete their orientation using the new model form that covers updated regulations. The new VA orientation should be completed within 90 days of hire.
