Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Today, LPA observed that there was a functioning electric fireplace. The vent was hot/warm to the touch the longer the fireplace was on. Licensee confirmed this observation. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she would avoid using the fire place meanwhile she made the electric fireplace inaccessible as required per the above stated regulation. Proof will be submitted to the Department by POC date 2/20/2023.
