(f) At least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities.

Personal Rights(a)(2): The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. This requirement was not met as evidence by: Staff initially advised for child #1 to not hang on the rails, however staff did not intervene or intercept the child from hanging on the slide rails, which resulted in child #1 sustaining a one inch laceration to their head. This poses a potential health and safety risk to day care children in care.
