Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) observed that the wooden gate used to prevent access to the second floor of the home was removed from the staircase.
Resolution: Licensee agreed to repair and reinstall the wooden gate at the bottom of the stairs, preventing access to the second floor and will submit proof of repair to the Community Care Licensing office by the Plan of Correction due date, March 7, 2025.
