Ballston Children's Center

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on October 6 2023 between 9:00am and 10:30am. There were 50 children in the direct care of 16 staff members at the start of the inspection. Staffing records, child records, emergency drills, the physical plant, and medications were inspection and reviewed. Children were observed eating breakfast, washing hands, and practicing for weekly performances. A citation is listed on the violation notice. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on March 30, 2023, between 11:45am and 12:45pm. There were 78 children in the direct care of 15 staff members. Children were observed washing hands, and sitting together for lunch time. Staff were observed sitting at the tables with children during lunch time as well as walking around assisting children where needed. One citation was issued and noted on the violation notice. A sampling of child records and staffing records were reviewed. Emergency drills, fire inspection, health inspection, and the physical space was inspected.
