An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on February 5, 2025 and completed on February 13, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:15 am and ended at 10:40 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 3 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 1 child's records and 2 staff records on-site on February 5, 2025. This inspection included document review and tour of the facility. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on February 20, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.
A monitoring inspection was conducted during the extended day portion of the full day program. Four children were present with three staff and was within ratios for supervision. Observed children transitioning from snack, hand washing and free play with room toys and equipment. Reviewed 4 records, emergency medication, staff training, emergency supplies and drills as well as physical space. An unannounced renewal study was conducted in the newly renovated space. 6 children were present with 2 staff and were on the playground upon arrival. Observed transition into the classroom, hand washing and play time in the large open space. The program now offers before and after care as well as the dedicated preschool program. Additional staff are available for the extended day portion of the afternoon. Reviewed physical space, records for children and staff, emergency preparation, trainings and medication. Lunches are bought from home. The staff records and administrative records are kept at a central location with the Parks and Recreation staff. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program. A renewal inspection was conducted today. The Program Manager was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted using FaceTime. There were 9 children present, ranging in ages from 3 to 5. with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. No medication was reported to be on-site. Children bring food from home.
