Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed that Licensee had two non working fire extinguishers. One fire extinguisher pointer is not on green area and another fire extinguisher was dropped with the pull pin not intact. Licensee did not have a working fire extinguisher, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she would purchase fire extinguisher by today 10/11/2023 and submit proof to the Department by POC date 10/20/2023.
