PLASCENCIA, ANA FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During today’s inspection, the licensee's smoke detector alarm was inoperable. This poses a potential Health & Safety risk to children in care.

Resolution: Licensee will repair/replace the smoke detector and send proof (picture and receipt) to the Fresno CCL office by Plan of Correction (POC) due date, February 8, 2024.

Based on observation & interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During today's inspection, Licensee was caring for 9 children, 4 of whom are infants and no assistant was present. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.

Resolution: Within 10 minutes of LPA Marquez arriving at the day care home, licensee's assistant arrived. Licensee may be requested to attend an Informal meeting at the Fresno South Licensing office and/or LPA may increase random inspections quarterly for a specific time not yet determined. DEFICIENCY CLEARED

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: record review and observation. Five of the 13 children present today are infants exceeding the limit of 4 infants and any one time when an assistant is present. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee is to preview the CCL video HOW MANY CHILDREN CAN ATTEND A FAMILY CHILD CARE HOME? After reviewing the CCL video, Licensee is to submit a written statement she watched the video and understands child ratios and will not care for more than 4 infants in her day care home. Written statement is to be send to CCL office by 3/15/2023.
