GONZALEZ, NORMA FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observations, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed food messes, toy messes, stains, and other markings on floors and furniture in accessible areas of home which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee is to have all accessible areas, furniture, floors, and equipment cleaned and orgainized.

Based on observations, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed damaged children's furniture, office supplies, office equipment, yard tools, exposed weed barier material in outdoor play area, non functional water cooler, and other non-day care items in accessible areas of the daycare which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee is to remove damaged furniture, office supplies, office equipment, yard tools, non functional water cooler, and other non-day care items from accessible areas of the daycare. Licensee is to also install additional wood chips to cover up exposed weed barrier material.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Knives were present in a lower kitchen drawer that had a broken drawer lock which made the knives accessible to children in care. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee immediately removed the knives from the drawer and placed them inside the garage which is inaccessible to children in care.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Licensee did not have required documentation for the Individual Infant Sleep Plan, and Infant Sleep Log in 1 out of 1 infant file which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee immediately went online to print out the Individual Infant Sleep Plan, and the Infant Sleep Log and will immediately have documents completed and stored in infant's file.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed two tubes of toothpaste in an accessible drawer in the restroom, laundry detergent in the accessible laundry room and knives in an accessible kitchen drawer that had broken safety latch. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: On 11/16/2021, licensee removed the toothpaste, the laundry detergent and placed a new safety latch in the kitchen drawer to make items inacessible. Licensee stated she will continue to keep these items inacessible to children in care at all times.
