LPAs met with Early Childhood Education (E.C.E) Coordinator Cara Dallamora and discussed the purpose of the visit. During today’s inspection, LPAs did a walk through of the Child Care Center with the E.C.E Coordinator. At the time of the inspection LPAs observed 3 staff supervising 13 children. On 01/19/2024, Early Childhood Education (E.C.E) Coordinator contacted Community Care Licensing (CCL) to self-report an unusual incident involving child #1 being removed from a classroom inappropriately by staff #1 and staff #2. The Unusual Incident Report was received on 1/26/2024. The incident report revealed staff #1 and staff #2 were placed on administrative leave. Staff #4 informed the E.C.E Coordinator on Thursday 1/18/2024 regarding the situation. E.C.E Coordinator stated the child #1's family was informed of the incident. According to the incident report there were 4 staff supervising 16 children at the time of the incident. LPAs reviewed child #1's and staff files and interviewed staff which revealed no incidents were documented in the child #1's file. LPAs advised, the center will be receiving type B deficiencies for failure to report incidents involving child #1 to Community Care Licensing within 24 hours as required. In addition, for violation of child's personal rights. Exit interview was conducted, report reviewed, and copy was provided to E.C.E coordinator. Notice of site visit was given.
