Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in one out of two infants in care. LPA observed C1 sleeping in an infant swing at 2:12pm, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated that she will translate the infant safe sleep regulations into Spanish and review them with her assistants, have them sign and date that they understand and will comply with the regulations. Licensee will include in the email a statement that she has reviewed, understands and will follow the infant safe sleep regulations. Email to LPA Strother: amy.strother@dss.ca.gov by 09/26/24.

Based on interview with L1 and record review of C1 and C8's files, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. C1 and C8, both under 24 months, did not have Sleep Logs on file for review, with the infants names, dates and time of each check, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated that she now understands that sleep logs must be maintained for children under 24 months. Licensee will send copies of C1 and C8's sleep logs for the week 09/20/24 - 09/25/24 to LPA Strother via email by 09/26/24.
