Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that at 3:30pm, Licensee stated that her Mandated Reporter Training expired 06/2023, and she has not renewed it, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will complete the Mandated Reporter Training at mandatedreporterca.com and send certificate to LPA by 08/30/24 to amy.strother@dss.ca.gov and renew every two years.

Based on interview at 4:06pm Licensee stated that on 10/08/22 she completed the online portion of the Pediatric First Aid/CPR course, but did not complete the in person portion and does not have a current certificate, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will register for and possibly complete the approved Pediatric First Aid/CPR training by 09/20/24 and send certificate or proof of registration to LPA by 09/20/24. If course is after the due date, Licensee will send certificate once issued.

Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Four out of the 4 infants present did not have sleep logs on file. Licensee stated that she does not currently have sleep logs which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will send proof of current sleep logs for the four infants in care by 08/30/24.

Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 2 out of 7 children in care. Licensee had 7 children in care, 4 infants and 3 preschool age children. Five children in care, C1- C2 and C5-C7 were infants under 2 years old, two children, C3 and C4, are preschool age. The licensee was operating beyond the licensed capacity and ratio requirements, and over ratio by two infants, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: During the inspection, Licensee called parents of C5 and C7 and they were picked up, bringing the ratio into complaince. L1 stated that she will look at her weekly schedule and work with parents to limit the number of infants to 3 when 6 children and in care and 2 when L1 has 7 or 8 children in care (2 that are school-age). L1 stated that she clearly understands the maximum number of children for whom care can be provided and the limitations on the number of infants (birth to age 2) that may be cared for and when two of the children in care must be school aged and signed a copy of the capacity requirements for small family child care homes. L1 stated that she plans to apply for a large family child care home license in the near future.
