Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA observed mutilple personal care products in the play area and indoor bathroom accessible to children in care. Licensee to service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher yearly.
Resolution: Staff placed the items out of reach from children in care during the inspection. LPA advised staff to ensure chemicals and cleaning compounds are made inaccessible to children in care. Licensee to submit proof of purchase or serviced fire extinguisher to Licensing Program Analyst Bill Billones via email to bill.billones@dss.ca.gov no later than May 9, 2025.
Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA observed the licensee to be absent from the facility. Employee stated licensee is out of the country and had left the facility on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Resolution: Licensee is to adhere to Title 22 Regulations and the Agency's requirement to be present in the home at least 80 percent of the facility's operating hours and to arrange for a substitue adult to care and supervise children during their absence. Licensee to submit written declaration stating they will adhere toTitle 22 CCR 102417(a) regulation to Licensing Program Analyst Bill Billones and send letter via email to bill.billones@dss.ca.gov no later than May 9, 2025.
Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA reviewed staff files and observed licensee and staff's Pediatric First Aid / CPR training was taken on 4/15/2023 and expired on 4/15/2025.
Resolution: Licensee to submit proof of current Pediatric First Aid / CPR training for all employees to Licensing Program Analyst Bill Billones via email to bill.billones@dss.ca.gov no later than May 9, 2025.
