Purpose of today's case management inspection: The Facility is requesting to increase the licensed capacity from 30 to 31 preschool children. The Facility is licensed to serve children ages 2 to 6 years (Toddler/Preschool & Preschool/Pre-K Classrooms). Hours of operation: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. LPAs toured the indoor/outdoor areas of the Facility during today's inspection. Jetalben states that indoor & outdoor layout of the Facility has not changed since the Facility was licensed and thus no measurements were taken during today's inspection. INDOOR MEASUREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: measurements were completed LPAs Dung Mac and Marilou Monico on 12/14/2021 TODDLER/PRESCHOOL ROOM: (14.500 x 8.750) + (12.083 x 19.917) - 4.234 (encumbered) = 367.532 - 4.234 = 363.298 (18.500 x 18.000) - 72.555 (encumbered) = 260.555 PRESCHOOL/PRE-K ROOM: 20.083 x 23.750 = 476.971 TOTAL PRESCHOOL INDOOR SPACE = 363.298 + 260.555 + 476.971 = 1,100.714 square feet divided by 35 = 31 children Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. LPAs observed ground pool in the preschool playground area that is adequately fenced with self-closing/latching gate. LPA received a fire clearance approval from the San Jose Fire Department prior to today's inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Jetalben Patel, Licensee Representative/Director, and advised her that a preschool license for 31 preschool children is approved as of today, October 5, 2022.
