Health-Related Services (c)The licensee shall obtain emergency medical treatment without specific instructions from the child's authorized representative if the authorized representative cannot be reached immediately, or if the nature of the child's illness or injury is such that there should be no delay in getting medical treatment for the child. This requirement was not met, as evidenced by: Based on the interview and record reviewed, the center did not comply with the section cited above. The center did not call 911 promptly when a child was experiencing a medical emergency on February 10, 2025. Failing to take proper safety and emergency response measures poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.

Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a)The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. This requirement is not met, as evidenced by: Based on the interview and incident report, the staff failed to provide adequate supervision and adhere to the transitioning protocol, leaving C1 unaccounted for and alone in the bathroom. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
