Based on observation, interview, and record review, the Licensee did not comply with the section cited above as the Licensee helper did not have a criminal record clearance. The helper could not provide any document or ID to confirm the identity, which poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: The Licensee must ensure that all employees and volunteers must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. Licensee states she will have the helper complete the fingerprint process by February 7.
Based on record review, the Licensee did not comply with the section cited above by not documenting or keeping a record of the drill, which poses/posed a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee must document every drill conducted and keep records. Licensee plans to keep a notebook of all fire drills moving forward.
