Buildings and Grounds (g) Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children. This requirement was not met as evidence by: Based on self reported incident report, interview and record review, a hot tea tumbler was accessible at the children’s play area resulting in day-care child sustaining burn injury.

Personal Rights (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. This requirement was not met as evidence based upon the information CCL gathered; a staff lifted a child in an improper way that caused a child's arm injury. It poses a potential health risk to children in care.
