Based on observation and interview, the backyard’s wire fencing does not completely prevent access to the neighboring yard and missing door knob covers allow access to off-limit areas (garage, living room, pantry), which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: The licensee stated that she will install additional wire fencing or another type of barricade for the currently exposed portion of the backyard fence, as well as install door knob covers on the 3 doors identified above. Licensee will email photo proof of the installation to LPA Poindexter by the POC due date of 8/5/25. Email: Gerald.Poindexter@dss.ca.gov
Based on record review, the licensee's helper has been employed since January 2025 and did not have proof of seasonal flu shot or a flu shot decline notice on file, which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: During the visit, the licensee’s helper, Jenna Schram completed a written flu decline notice. LPA also provided licensee with Requirements for Child Care Employees document. This deficiency has been cleared
