CAMARENA, MARIA FAMILY CHILD CARE

LPA observed one bottle of cleaning product that Licensee stated contained Clorox diluted with water, was observed in the bathroom counter. Licensee stated she was in the process of cleaning the bathroom's toilet when LPA arrived to conduct inspection. Licensee was reminded to remove and secure all disinfectants and cleaning compounds after each use.

Resolution: Licensee removed the bottle of Clorox during today's visit and made it inaccessible to children in care.

Based on analyst record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as it was determined that she is not maintaining a written record documenting the fire drills which poses posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care. Last emergency drill was conducted on 4/2021.

Resolution: Licensee was provided with a blank fire/earthquake drill log and states will conduct both drills with the children in care this week and then continue to do so once every six months as required by regulation. Licensee states she will submit a copy of the completed drill log to analyst by 07/17/23 to complete the correction.

Based on record review, the Licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training has expired which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated she will complete the online Mandated Reporter Training AB1207 by 7/15/23 and will submit a copy for the plan of correction to the San Diego Regional Office by 7/17/23. Licensee will ensure to renew her certification every two years prior to the expiration date.
