Based on interviews and video surveillance, LPA determined that facility staff #1 tapped or flicked day care children on the head and forehead. This poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.Facility will conduct a mandatory training staff on personal rights and will provide staff signatures to LPA by 12/23/2021.

Based on interviews and video surveillance, LPA determined that facility staff #1 tapped or flicked day care children on the head and forehead. This poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning.
(g) Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children.
(a) The written infant needs and services plan shall be updated at least quarterly, or as often as necessary to assure its accuracy.
(j) Bottles, dishes and containers of food brought by the infant's authorized representative shall be labeled with the infant's name and the current date.
