RANDOLPH FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation, interview conducted, and records reviewed, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as licensee did not ensure required immunizations were maintained for two out of four children which poses a potential health risk to children in care.

Resolution: LPA discussed the requirement to maintain documentation of the required immunizations for enrolled children. Licensee agreed to provide proof of required immunizations documented on the California School Immunization Records (CDPH 286) for C1 and C2 to LPA by 07/11/2024.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that an above ground pool was located in the right side of the backyard, pool was surrounded by a fence however the fence did not comply with Title 22 Regulations, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The fence obstructs view to the pool and does not have a self-closing and self-latching gate.

Resolution: Immediately, Licensee agrees to comply with Title 22 Regulations by either draining the pool, getting a pool cover strong enough to support an adult, or install a gate that complies with Title 22 Regulations. Licensee agrees to submit proof to CCL by 7/24/23.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that a drawer in the kitchen contained lighters and tools and poisons (bleach and bug spray) was located in a latched kitchen cabinet under the sink, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Immediately, Licensee removed the lighters from the kitchen drawer and agreed to install a lock making it inaccessible. Licensee agrees to move poisons (bleach and bug spray) from the latched cabinet under the sink and ensure it is maintained under lock. Licensee agrees to submit proof to CCL by 7/28/23.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 1 out of 6 did not have a completed file, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to obtain a file for C4 and submit documents to CCL by 7/28/23.
