Based on observation, interview conducted, and records reviewed, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as licensee did not ensure they renewed their EMSA pediatric CPR and first aid certification by the expiration date. Licensee also did not ensure their current EMSA CPR and first aid certification was pediatric and included in-person instruction. This poses a potential safety risk to children in care.

Resolution: LPA discussed the requirement to renew EMSA CPR and first aid certification every two years prior to expiration. LPA informed Licensee that certifications are to be pediatric and include in-person instruction. Licensee agreed to provide proof of enrollment and/or completed certificate to LPA by 11/01/2024.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that present during the inspection were 3 infants and 5 children under the age of six and not enrolled in school, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: During the inspection one child and one infant were picked up making the census 6. Immediately, Licensee agrees to comply with the regulations and submit a detailed written statement with their understanding of the regulation and their plan on how they will maintain ratios to CCL by 12/01/23. LPA provided a copy of the small and large license ratio sheet.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that the cabinet under the kitchen sink contained dish washer pods which were accessible, Licensee move the pods during the inspection. Knives are stored in a pull drawer which has a latch that is no longer in working condition. which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Licensee's kitchen is gated but children will eat in the kitchen.

Resolution: Immediately, Licensee agrees to fix the latch and/or remove the knives making them inaccessible and submitting proof to CCL by 12/1/23.
