LPAs explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside. The center is located on 740 W North Ave in Reedley, CA inside Reedly High School Campus. The applicant, Kings Canyon Unified School District (KCUSD) is requesting a preschool capacity of 12 preschool children. This program will operate on a traditional school year schedule and have both an AM & PM Session from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM & 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. This program will operate in the preschool classroom. KCUSD will provide breakfast & lunch. Megan stated that the center will provide a snack to each session. The food gets prepared on site and brought over to the children's classroom. Staff will utilize the staff bathroom located in the student workspace room or the building across the center. Ill children will be isolated in the site supervisors office and will use the staff bathroom. The classrooms had age appropriate toys and was free of toxins. The cleaning items will be stored in the small kitchen area that's in the preschool classroom which is remained closed and locked by a half door. LPAs observed that the furniture and equipment appeared to be safe and in good condition. A working carbon monoxide is installed in the kitchen. Megan stated that she will have a sanitation table outside the center so parents can sign in/out their children. Staff are doing wellness checks every morning during drop off. Room measurements were taken and reviewed with Megan. The total inside preschool area measured to an approximate 708 square feet which will accommodate the requested preschool capacity. There is adequate storage space available for children's belongings in the classroom. LPAs explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside. The center is located on 740 W North Ave in Reedley, CA inside Reedly High School Campus. The applicant, Kings Canyon Unified School District (KCUSD) is requesting a preschool capacity of 12 preschool children. This program will operate on a traditional school year schedule and have both an AM & PM Session from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM & 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. This program will operate in the preschool classroom. KCUSD will provide breakfast & lunch. Megan stated that the center will provide a snack to each session. The food gets prepared on site and brought over to the children's classroom. Staff will utilize the staff bathroom located in the student workspace room or the building across the center. Ill children will be isolated in the site supervisors office and will use the staff bathroom. The classrooms had age appropriate toys and was free of toxins. The cleaning items will be stored in the small kitchen area that's in the preschool classroom which is remained closed and locked by a half door. LPAs observed that the furniture and equipment appeared to be safe and in good condition. A working carbon monoxide is installed in the kitchen.
