Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Upon arrival at the facility, LPA observed infant #2 who was awake in a carseat feeding on a baby bottle. Licensee removed the child and then placed him/her inside an infant rocker chair. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee removed the car seat to an inaccessible room today.Licensee removed the child from the rocking chair. LPA reviewed acceptable equipment licensee could use for infants. Licensee stated she would complete a written statement indicating her understanding that staff is not to use car seats to feed children or for other purposes other than to transport children by POC due date 3/9/2023.
