FIGUEROA'S FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 2 out of 2 staff, licensee and assistant did not renew mandated reporter training which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated she and her assistant will complete the mandated reporter training by POC due date and will submit a photo of certificate to RO office.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed an electric heater that was accessible to children. The heater was on and blowing out hot air and was hot to the touch. One infant and on preschool aged child had access to the heater. Licensee confirmed the observation. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated that she would avoid turning on the electric heater during day care hours meanwhile she obtained a baby gate or made the electric heater inaccessible to the children in some other way. Licensee will submit proof to the Department by POC date 1/25/2023.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Licensee and staff #2 did not have updated Mandated Reporter Training certificates. Their trainings had showed to have expired on 7/18/2020. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated that she and staff #2 would complete the online training. LPA provided licensee with resources on how to access the training. Licensee stated she would submit proof of completion by POC date 1/25/2023.
