Based on observation and measurements, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. At 9:51 AM, LPA observed that although the wrought iron fence isolates the swimming pool and the gate swings away from the pool, is self-closing, and self-latching, the key lockable device is 58 inches above the ground.
Resolution: Licensee will assure that the key lockable device is placed no lower than 60 inches above the ground. LPA will conducted a return visit to inspect the corrections.
Based on observation and measurements, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. At 9:49 AM, LPA observed that although the wrought iron fence isolates the swimming pool, the vertical clearance from the ground to the bottom of the enclosure is greater than 2 inches in some areas of the enclosure; on the left of the gate on the grass area and on the section of the gate where the gated door is located there were areas that measured 3.75 inches.
Resolution: Licensee will assure that there is a maximum vertical clearance of two inches from the ground to the bottom of the enclosure. LPA will conducted a return visit to inspect the corrections.
Based on observation and measurments, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. At 9:52 AM, LPA observed that that there is one gap or void spaces that is 5 inches wide which would allow the passage of a sphere with a diameter of 4 inches wide; this area is on the right of the gate where the wrought iron gate meets the cinder block wall.
Resolution: Licensee will assure that there is no gaps or voids that can allow the passage of a sphere with a diameter equal to or greater than four inches. LPA will conduct a follow-up visit to inspect corrections.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. At 9:45 AM, LPA observed the pool alarm was still in the packaging and sitting on the dining room floor.
Resolution: Licensee will assure that the pool alarm is placed in a swimming pool, will sound upon detecting an entrance into the water, will assure the alarm is in working condition, and that it is on during a facility’s operating hours while the swimming pool is not in use. LPA will conduct a follow-up visit to inspect corrections.
Based on observation and measurmenta, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Although the pole was placed adjacent to the pool and available for use, at 9:54 AM, LPA observed that the pole with the attached body hook measure 10.5 inches.
Resolution: Licensee will assure that the rescue pole with a body hook and a MINIMUM fixed length of 12 feet. LPA will conduct a follow-up visit to inspect corrections.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. At 9:45 AM, Licensee showed LPA an incomplete daily inspection log. Licensee stated that she has not yet used the log but wanted to assure with LPA that it met regulations.
Resolution: Licensee will provide a copy to CCL of a daily inspection log where she assures drowning prevention safety features and safety equipment are in working order before opening the facility. LPA will conducted a return visit to inspect the corrections.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. At 12:15 PM, LPA observed C1 was missing the LIC 9227.
Resolution: Licensee will provide CCL with a copy of C1's LIC 9227.
