Based on record review the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Licensee had assistant #2 care for children today for approximately 15 minutes while she went to pick children up from school. Per licensee, assistant #2 was used today for an emergency as her regular assistant could not work today. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee was reminded that all assistants should have required CPR / First aid if they were ever left to care for children alone even if it was an assistant that was only used on occassion. Today, licensee completed a written statement indicating that she would not leave any assistants who did not have CPR/ First Aid to care for children alone. Deficiency cleared.
