ZHONG FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. There was no carbon monoxide detector observed in the home by LPA or licensee. Licensee stated they have one, but cannot locate where it is plugged in. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to purchase a carbon monoxide detector and submit proof of one to licensing, no later than POC due date.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. The kitchen and stairs are "off limit" areas of the home. However, upon entrance, no gate was observed in front of the kitchen entrance, to prevent access to the children in care. Furthermore, the gate at the foot of the stairs was not latched; when it was, LPA observed the bottom latch broken &children crawl under to grab toys. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to submit a picture of a proper gate on the foot of the stairs to licensing no later than the POC due date.
