Based on record review and interview, Eight children were present, all were under 5 years of age. Licensee stated she thought she could have eight children as that is what she is licensed for, she was unaware of the age limits. LPA printed out regulation and reviewed it with licensee. LPA also gave licensee a ratio hand out illustrating the regulation. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee agreed to submit a statement indicating what she is going to do to stay in compliance with the regulation. Licensee also stated she has children that are part time and can work out schedules so she is in compliance. Licensee will submit the statement to LPA at Melinda.mohr@dss.ca.gov by 10/23/2024.
