Based on observation, the pool gate in the backyard is not self-latching. Licensee also did not have a 12 foot fixed rescue pole with body hook, minimum of 17 inches life ring, and pool alarm. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee will fix the pool gate to ensure it is self-latching. Licensee stated she will purchase the products (12 foot fixed hook, minimum of 17 inches for life ring, pool alarm) and start a daily inspection log to meet AB2866's regulations. LIcensee will notify LPA when all corrections have been made. LPA will conduct a Case Managment - Plan of Correction visit at a later date.
