LPA met with AnnaMarie Franceshi, Site Supervisor, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during visit included 39 children and 9 staff. LPA discussed Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 requires the Lead Testing of water in the Child Care Center with the facility representative during the inspection. All Child Care Centers that are licensed in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010, must have their water tested and post the results by January 1, 2023, and every 5 years after the date of the first testing. During conversation it was stated that facility is currently providing water to children via water fountains and Brita water pitchers, each child is provided with individual plastic cups. Based on review of California water board website, facility conducted their testing on 6/2/2023 and received passing scores. During visit LPA observed that results had not been posted for public display. Today a type B deficiency is being cited due to the facility not having results by or before 1/1/2023. LPA referred facility representative to the Department website for lead: Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Information. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility representative, Anna Marie.
