Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. S1, assistant was observed supervising four infants, without the direct supervision of a qualified teacher, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed infant cereal and jars of baby food in a crate in the corner between the trash can and the changing table. LPA observed baby formula stored in the storage area under the changing table, and a can of formula in the diapering area that was just used to prepare a bottle, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
(f) At least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities.
(h) Infants who are unable to hold a bottle shall be held by a staff person or other adult for bottle feeding. At no time shall a bottle be propped for an infant. An infant shall not be allowed to carry a bottle while ambulatory. A bottle given to an infant able to hold his/her own bottle shall be unbreakable.
