This is a preschool program that serves children ages 3 to 5 years. This program operates Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Sign in and out takes place in each classroom. All areas identified on the facility sketch were toured and inspected both indoors and outdoors. Teacher and child ratio were observed, and present staff are fingerprinted cleared. This is a preschool age program licensed for 107 children. Per the Site Supervisor Anna Martinez there are 62 children enrolled. The facility does have a toddler option; however, Toddler Room was closed and has not reopened at this time. LPA will be notified of any change in regard to the toddler option. LPA entered the Lily classroom. LPA Perry observed 8 children napping and 1 staff present supervising the children. LPA observed age-appropriate furniture and equipment to be in good condition, free of sharp, not loose, or pointed parts and age-appropriate toys accessible to children. LPA observed a cubby for children to store their personal belongings. LPA observed cleaning solutions stored inside the top cabinet with a key lock making it inaccessible for children to reach and open. LPA Perry observed a step trash bin with a lid. LPA observed portable sink inside the classroom. LPA entered Rose classroom. LPA Perry observed 14 children napping and 2 staff present supervising the children. LPA observed age-appropriate furniture and equipment to be in good condition, free of sharp, not loose, or pointed parts and age-appropriate toys accessible to children. LPA observed portable sink inside the classroom. Heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated by LPA Perry. LPA observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling. LPA observed the thermostats located in the classrooms and temperatures to be between 70.7 - 73.8 degrees. LPA observed the fire extinguishers located in the kitchen and hallway and and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguishers indicating fully charged and serviced on 01/25/24. Smoke detectors were not tested during this visit due to the detectors being wired to the emergency pull down fire alarm system. Carbon monoxide detectors were observed in classrooms, LPA Perry tested and are operable. The last emergency drill was conducted on 3/19/24. LPA observed napping equipment cots to be in good condition and stored in the classrooms. First aid kit supplies are kept inside the classrooms and LPA observed the kits to be fully equipped.
