Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in having a blanket around Child #1 and a blanket on top covering the play yard, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee removed the blanket from Child #1 and the blanket from the top. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not ensuring the inaccessibility of the pool, as LPA arrived and observed the pool gate open, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee closed the gate which self closes and self latches at the time of this inspection. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not ensuring Adult #1 is criminal record cleared. LPA arrived and Adult #1 was helping care for daycare children, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated Adult #1 is her sibling and was visiting due to having a dentist appointment and was only here for the day. Adult #1 also stated she was only here for one day. Adult #1 was removed from the facility and was advised to not have any contact with daycare children until she is criminal record cleared. Licensee stated she will submit a copy of the LIC9163 for Adutl #1 as she will be visiting often.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not conducting and documenting disaster drills, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will conduct and document a disaster drill and send a copy to the department by 7/25/25. Licensee sated she will mark her calendar to ensure this deficency is not repeated.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in Licensee did not have a key lockable device for the pool, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will buy and install a key lockable device for the pool by 7/25/25 by email to the department. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not ensuring the gaps of the enclosure are less than 4 inches, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will ensure the gaps of the enclosure are at least four inches or less. Licensee stated she will send the department a picture of the enclosure by 7/25/25. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not having an alarm or pool cover, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will obtain a pool alarm by 7/25/25 and send the department a video of the alarm being tested by email. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in Licensee did not have a life ring for the pool, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will obtain a life ring approved by the US Coast Guard by 7/25/25 and send a picture to the department by email. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not having a rescue pole, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will obtain a rescue pole by 7/25/25 and send the department a picture of it by email. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on Ineterview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not conducting daily inspections of the pool, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated she will send the department a copy of daily inspection of the pool by 7/18/25. Licensee stated she will send the department a written statement of her understanding of this regulation.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not providing the Department with current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate for Licensee and Helper #1, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licenee stated she will send the department a copy of the Mandated Reporter Training Certificate by email to the Department by 7/25/25. Licensee stated she will put a reminder on her calendar in order to avoid a repeat violation.
