BELLFLOWER USD-WILLIAMS CHILD CARE CENTER

(a) (1) A licensed child day care center, as defined in Section 1596.76.., shall have its drinking water tested for lead contamination levels on or after January 1, 2020, but no later than January 1, 2023, and every five years after the date of the initial test. This requirement is not met as evidence by: Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above and the water lead testing was not conducted in compliance with required regulation.

California Lead Action Level at Child Care Centers (b)Testing results with fractional ppb readings of 0.5 ppb or greater shall...(1) A result with values of 5.5ppb or greater shall be deemed an Action Level Exceedance.This requirement is not met as evidence by: Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above and the water lead testing result for drinking fountain C was 21ppb.

This requirement is not met by evidence by: Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with section cited above and the name of the child care center Director was not reported to The Department. Per facility Representative, they have been the active Director since 2024.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above and LPA observed that cover over waterpump was loose allowing enough room for children to access it. This poses a potential safety risk to persons in care.

(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. (1) The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents.

(f) At least one staff member who is trained in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866 shall be present when children are at the child care center or offsite for center activities.
