BARRETO FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPAs observed a water fountain in the on limits outdoor area. Water fountain was observed to be running and filled with water during the inspection which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: LPAs observed Licensee turn off the water fountain. Declaration will be submitted stating fountain will not be in use during hours of operation.

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Per Licensee, fire extinguisher was purchased in 2022 and has not been professionally serviced which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will have fire extinguisher serviced or will purchase a new one and provide proof of purchase. If serviced, proof of service will be submitted by due date.

Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Per Licensee, a disaster drill has not been completed which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will conduct and document disaster drill with children in care. Proof of documentation will be submitted by due date.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as the Licensee did not have proof of completion for the required Mandated Reporter Training which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will submit proof of completion of the Mandated Reporter Training (AB 1207) to LPA via mail to the Monterey Park Child Care Regional Office by August 29th.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as the Licensee did not have proof of immuniztion for measles, pertussis, influenza, and a TB clearance or risk assessment which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will submit proof of immunization for measles, pertussis, influenza, and a TB clearance or risk assessment to LPA via mail to the Monterey Park Child Care Regional Office by August 29th.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as the Licensee did not have proof of completion for the required Preventative Health and Safety Practices and had an expired Pediatric First Aid and Certification (expired on 01/06/2020) which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will submit proof of completion for the Preventative Health and Safety Practices Training (EMSA-approved) and valid Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification to LPA via mail to the Monterey Park Child Care Regional Office by August 29th.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 2 out of 5 children's records (C2 and C4) which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will submit proof of the children's immunization records to LPA via mail to the Monterey Park Child Care Regional Office by August 29th.
