Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, Licensee was unaware of new pool regulation and did not have a pool alarm, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee will purchase a pool alarm that will sound upon detecting an entrance into the water and provide proof to LPA by 11/7/25.

Resolution: Licensee will purchase a life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and labeled as approved by the United States Coast Guard by 11/7/25.

Resolution: Licensee will provide proof of drowning prevention/ safety equipment log and understands that log must be filled out daily. Licensee will provide proof to LPA by 11/7/25.

Resolution: Licensee understands that she must physically check on infants when they sleep and conduct 15 min checks. Licensee will provide written statement that she understands the safe sleep regulations by 11/5 25.

Resolution: LPA advised licensee that she must check and document the following: Labored breathing. Signs of distress which includes but is not limited to flushed skin color, increase in body temperature and restlessness. LPA also advised licensee that documentation shall be maintained in the infant’s file and be available to the Department for review. Documentation shall include the following: Date, Infant’s name, Time of each 15- minute check. LPA advised that when children under two years of age are attending the day-care and do not take a nap - to document that on the sleep log with date and "No nap". If the child does take a nap, please follow above directions and fill out log accordingly every 15 minutes while the child is sleeping.
