Based on LPA's personal observation during visit of staff. This poses an immediate Health and Safety risk to children in care.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in baby blankets were hanging off of 4 different cribs, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
(f) Cribs shall be free from all loose articles and objects, including blankets and pillows. (3) There shall be no objects hanging above or attached to the side of the crib.
(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning.
Based on LPA's interviews with Staff #1 and Staff #2 it was determined that infant had worken up and was not removed from the crib soon after. Child #1 stood up and due to the crib door not being properly latched caused Child #1 to fall out the crib.This poses a potential Health and Safety risk to children in care.
