Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The LPAs observed screen cleaner, Awesome degreaser, paint, and Robitussin accessible to children in various locations in the home, including in the kitchen and the family room.

Resolution: The licensee stated she will remove the cleaning supplies and other substances that can pose a danger to children if readily available. The licensee removed the the items during the visit.

Based on records review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Records show the last drill was documented on 3/30/23.

Resolution: The licensee stated she will cary out the drills even if children are not present, to meet the regulation. The licensee will email confirmation in writing to the LPA.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in on play pen, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The LPAs observed a playpen with loose articles inside. The licensee stated the children were playing with the articles and they thre them inside the playpen.

Resolution: The licensee stated she will not use the playpen as a toy box anymore. The licensee stated she will remove the articles from the playpen and keep the playpen cleared. The licensee removed the loose articles while the LPAs were present. The licensee will send confirmation to the LPA in writing.

Based on records review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in one infant present, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The licensee stated she has not been doing the infant safe sleep checks or documenting them.

Resolution: The licensee stated she will beging carrying out and documenting the 15 minute checks. The licensee stated she will keep a records of infant safe sleep logs. The licensee will send confirmation to the LPA.

Based on observation and interview statements, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 3 daycare children out of 5 chilren present, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The licensee stated the children are drop in children, meaning the children are in attendance at randomly and infrequently.

Resolution: The licensee stated she will complete a child care licensing forms packet for the children in care, including drop in children and children who are regularly in attendance. The licensee will send confirmation in writing to the LPA.
