RAMIREZ, LAURA FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above regarding the above ground pool located in the backyard that did not have a fence that met regulations. The pool was completely filled with water at the time of the inspection and there was no ladder attached. The pool cover was not strong enough to support the weight of an adult and was not locked, which poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee Laura Ramirez began to drain the pool during the inspection. Licensee will completely drain and remove the above ground pool by 09/8/2023. Licensee will provide photos to LPA by 09/8/2023 to document the completion of the plan of correction.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that a kitchen cabinet under the sink had a loose child safety latch, which made cleaning agents, Lysol, Clorox wipes and other disinfecting sprays accessible to children in care, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated she will replace the defective latch and send proof to CCLD by the POC due date of 09/30/21. During this inspection, Licensee's husband removed the items mentioned above and placed in an inaccessible area to children.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in licensee did not have a copy of her husband's immunization records on file, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will have her husband obtain a copy of his immunization records and submit to CCLD by the POC due date of 09/30/21.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that two infant files did not contain documentation of sleep log/records with date, time and initials of staff, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated she was unaware of the requirement to log children's sleep. Licensee will review regulations pertaining to infant safe sleep and will provide a written statement to CCLD that she understands and will comply with the regulation by the POC due date of 09/30/21.
