HERNANDEZ FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed one room accessible to children contained Orajel, perfumes and nail polish, one room accessible to children contained disinfectant spray under the changing table, and the bathroom accessible to children had a broken child lock making cleaning products accessible. All children were outdoors during inspection and items were removed before children entered the home, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee removed all hazardous items during inspection. She order child locks from Amazon to replace lock in the bathroom. Licensee will make the room with the changing table inaccessible. The nap room will contain only a bed (not used by children), the play yard and the changing table will be moved to this room. Licensee will email a picture of nap room and new lock in bathroom by POC date 5/31/23

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in One out of two files, mandated reporter training was observed to be expired for licensee, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Per licensee, she will take the training with the time period and email LPA a copy of the certificate by POC date 6/16/23.
