Based on LPA's observation, the LPA observed several items in the bedroom which is are considered unsafe for the day care children. This bedroom is used for napping. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: The licensee will remove all the lotions, perfumes, etc in the bedroom which is used for napping. The licensee will make sure the bedroom is always safe for the children in care. The licensee will send a picture of the bedroom showing the items have been removed. The plan of correction is due by 6/13/23.
Based on interview with licensee and record review, LPA did not observe Staff #1, the licensee's assistant to have the required immunizations. The licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: The licensee will have the assistant received the required immunizations and submit copies to the Department. The required immunization are MMR, Tdap, Whooping Cough, and also a TB Test. The licensee will make sure that all employees have these required immunizations prior to working in the home. The licensee will send proof of the correction is due by 6/13/23.
