BURCHELL, JULIE & DAVID FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on record reviewed, licensees did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed Staff #1 (S1) and Staff #2 (S2) did not have their current mandated reporter training for the Child Care Providers (AB1207) which posed a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Per Licensee Julie Burchell, she agrees that her and Licensee David Burchell will take the mandated reporter training for the Child Care Providers (AB1207) and will submit proof of completion to Community Care Licensing (CCL)-Fresno Office by 4/20/2023.

Based on record review, the licensees did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed Staff #1 (S1) and Staff #2 (S2) did not have proof of influenza in file. Staff #3 (S3) and Staff #4 (S4) did not have proof of immunization record for the influenza, pertussis, and measles in file.

Resolution: Per Licensee Julie Burchell, she agrees that her and Licensee David Burchell will provide proof of the influenza record to Community Care Licensing (CCL)-Fresno Office by 4/20/2023. Julie also agrees that she will works with her Assistants (S3 and S4) to submit their record of immunized against the influenza, pertussis, and measles to CCL-Fresno Office by 04/20/2023.

Based on LPAs observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that when LPA was conducting the facility inspection, Licensee opened the door to the Baby Bee Room to show LPA the sleeping infant, as door was fully closed and Licensee's infant was also sleeping in the Licensee's Master Bedroom with the door closed, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will review licensing information provided regarding Safe Sleep and submit a POC. Licensees want additional time to determine if they plan on correcting or appealing this citation.

Based on LPAs observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that when LPA arrived to the facility, Licensee was caring for 10 children without an assistant present, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensees will watch CCLD video on How Many Children Can Attend a Family Child Care Home and video on Supervising Children in Family Child Care and provide proof/documentation to CCLD of completion of watching videos by the POC due date of 08/30/22.
