Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. During the indoor inspection, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) observed that licensee did not have a carbon monoxide detector in the home.

Resolution: Licensee agreed to purchase and install a carbon monoxide detector and to show proof to the Department by the Plan of Correction due date, August 15, 2025.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed an above-ground pool (2.5 ft tall by 9.5 wide) located in the backyard where daycare children have access to the pool. The above-ground pool did not meet the licensing regulation as the covers of the pool were not strong enough to completely support the weight of an adult. This poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to immediately empty the water from the pool and submit proof showing the empty above-ground pool has been removed and store away where daycare children have no access to the pool. The Plan of Correction (POC) is to be submit to the Department by the end of the day on 06/18/2024.

During the indoor inspection, LPA observed multiple bottles of medication inside a kitchen drawer and a cleaning compound (Lysol) on the kitchen floor. LPA observed that daycare children can easily have access the medication and cleaning compound. This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to submit written proof to the Department indicating as to how Licensee will ensure that daycare children will not have access to any medication or cleaning compound. The written plan is to be submit to the Department by 07/01/2024.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Licensee was not able to provide written proof indicated that Licensee physically checking on Child #3 (infant) every 15 minutes. This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to submit written proof to the Department indicating as to how Licensee will continue to physically be checking on infants every 15 minutes when they are sleeping. Licensee also need to submit written proof indicating Licensee is physically checking on Child #3 every 15 minutes. The proof is to be submit to the Department by 07/01/2024.

Record review indicated that Staff #1 (S1) and Staff #2 (S2) did not have their current Mandated Reporter Training for the Child Care Providers Training (AB1207) which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Per Licensee, she agrees that her (S1) and her Assistant (S2) will complete the Mandated Reporter Training for the Child Care Providers (AB1207) and submit proof of completion to Community Care Licensing (CCL)-Fresno Office by 05/30/2023.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During the outdoor inspection, LPA observed the side of the backyard had a shed that one side of the door is open and hazardous items were inside. In front of the shelf, there were a large non-operable motorcycle, an adult bike, a large non-operable exercise machine, a large rolled up carpet stand up next to the shelf, multiples medium size bricks on the ground next to the shed. LPA observed that the daycare children have access to the area which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Per Licensee, she agrees that she will made the side yard area inaccessible to daycare children by installing a fence between the yard and side yard. Licensee agrees to submit proof to Community Care Licensing (CCL)-Fresno by 05/30/2023.

Based on observation the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During the inspection of the play yard, LPA observed multiple plastic containers of motor oil near a shed on the side of the yard. Licensee stated that she does use the yard on occassion for care. This which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Today, licensee removed the bottles of motor oil and placed them inside the locked shed. Licensee stated that she would not leave these items outside and check her yard before letting the children out to play to ensure no hazards were there. Deficiency cleared today.
