LPA met with Director, Eka Lianawati. The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Also present were 4 additional staff members and 45 preschool aged children. This program currently operates in 2 rooms (113 and 115) Monday through Friday 7:00AM-6:00PM. The preschool classrooms were inspected for age appropriate furnishings, equipment, and adequate storage for children’s belongings. LPA observed the presence of working carbon monoxide detector, smoke detectors/fire alarms and fully charged fire extinguishers that is accessible throughout the facility. There are no pools, hot tubs or other accessible bodies of water. Cleaning supplies/toxins are stored inaccessible to children during the inspection and all required postings are present. Facility provides a catered lunch and AM/PM snacks to children in care. Children bring their own water bottles from home. LPA observed the preschool play yard and observed, tarps, trees and building overhang for shade. No hazards were observed on the play yard on today's date. LPA reviewed a random sample of children's files and staff files. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
