Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed one (1) infant sleeping in a wooden crib with two blankets during today's inspection, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: When asked about safe sleep regulations, Licensee was able to tell LPA requirements regarding items allowed and/or not allowed in cribs with a sleeping infant. During today's inspection, LPA provided Licensee with a copy for Infant Safe Sleep regulations. Licensee will review regulations to ensure she is in compliance with safe sleep regulations moving forward. LPA determined deficiency will be cleared at the end of today's inspection.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as Mandated Reporter training certificates of both Licensee and Assistant present during today's inspection were expired as of September 2025, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee and Assistant will both renew Mandated Reporter (Child Care Providers) training certificates. Licensee will send both certificates after renewal to LPA via email at jialing.zhu@dss.ca.gov by 02/20/2026.
