Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. At the time of the visit, licensee stated firearms and ammunition are locked in a cabinet, stored, and locked separately. LPA is unable to determine if the firearms and ammunition are stored and locked separately, located inside of the locked cabinet, which poses a potential safety risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to write a letter of understanding that upon the departments request, proof of firearms and ammunition are stored and locked separately is granted during the visit. Licensee agrees to provide proof the firearms and ammunition are locked in a cabinet, stored and locked separately by providing pictures to LPA via email by COB on 07/30/2024.

Based on observation, interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA did not observe S2 present during the time of the visit, and by the licensee's own omission, S2 absences will exceed 20 percent of the hours the facility is providing care, multiple days this week, which poses a potential safety risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to write a statement of understanding of Title 22 Regulation 102417(a) - Operation of A Family Child Care Home, and provide a copy to LPA via email by COB on 07/30/2024.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, S1 Mandated Reporter Training - Child Care Providers (AB1207) Certificate was completed on 07/09/2021 and there is not a current Mandated Reporter Training - Child Care Providers (AB1207) Certificate on file for S1 and S2, which poses a potential safety risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to have S1 and S2 complete the Mandated Reporter Training - Child Care Providers (AB1207) and provide proof of completion to LPA via email by COB 07/30/2024. www.mandatedreporterca.com
